Easter

It's Easter Sunday, as you might imagine I don't particularly care much for the holiday itself, but hanging out with the family and eating good food I didn't have to cook(no one asked) is a pretty okay thing now and again.

As with most religious holidays, the mythology is ridiculous, but I just don't get a lot of mileage out of pointing that out, it's also why I don't go in for spending a lot of time talking about hypocrisy in religion, silly parts of the bible, and so on. Those who don't believe don't need convincing, and those who do believe largely don't care. I'll always give people shit when they are being awful people and using religion to justify it sure, but if it brings comfort and isn't hurting anyone then it seems awfully petty to pick at it because I don't believe.

Happy Easter everyone, if the Resurrection is your thing then I hope your faith is reinforced and you spread that joy to the world, but regardless, have a nice day, eat some eggs, and don't go buying rabbits.
