I'd rather have another toothache.

Since last Saturday or so my left ear has been basically completely blocked up, since Sunday it has been hurting, and that has steadily increased, so I took advantage of my wife's health insurance and made an appointment today to get it checked out, as I suspected it was just impacted earwax, heavily impacted, like they couldn't get it out when I went in today.

I was sent home with some ear drops and am supposed to go in tomorrow morning for another go at it, the idea being that if we give it a day to soften then perhaps they can get it then, otherwise I need to see a specialist who has a vacuum thingy that can hopefully get it out, why we couldn't have gone to that first I do not know.

My visit today seems to have made things worse, hence the title of this post, when before it was a steady dull pressure, now it is basically a constant sharp pain that seems to spread throughout the left side of my face, at least with a toothache it was limited to one spot and until it gets really bad you can avoid it hurting by not eating cold things on that tooth, there is nothing that can be done for this, there is crap sitting directly on my eardrum and my eardrum is not a big fan at all.

Here's hoping they can get it tomorrow, since my work week starts tomorrow as well and I don't really want to deal with five days of this.
