Kobe's last hurrah.

Blazer game tonight, the Lakers were in town, this was notable as legendary player Kobe Bryant was here with them for his final trip to Portland in his career.
The Blazer won quite easily, see Kobe isn't really that good these days, after twenty years in the NBA he has lost more than a couple steps, but the contract he has is really lucrative and the Lakers have difficulty attracting any other high talent players.
I didn't get much time to watch the game, but during my breaks I checked it out, he looked tired and clearly didn't want to be there, I woulda felt bad for him except you know, his vast wealth and fame resulting from two decades of dominance make up for a year or so of grinding it out.

The LA fans who came up for the game were plentiful and surprisingly nice, though my supervisor told me a hilarious story of a group of them that got mad at security for cutting off their alcohol, the whole ordeal ended with at least one spending a bit of time in jail and another going to the hospital first.

I don't understand how anyone can afford to get drunk at the Moda center, it's like ten bucks a beer there.

That's it for tonight, rejoin me tomorrow for regularly scheduled rants about social problems or politicians.
