We opened a new stand at my work for the Blazer season, it's called Yeti's for some reason and it focuses on kid friendly food, stuff like grilled cheese sandwiches, tater tots, string cheese, and so on.
I've been the only lead who has worked the stand so far, so I have had the opportunity to see who is buying stuff, and it totally isn't kids, I think we sold one of the new items to a kid so far, but that doesn't mean people aren't buying them.
Turns out the nostalgia involved in the idea of a boxed lunch is overpowering to a certain group of twenty-somethings, tell them we have grilled PB+J and we have their attention, tell them they can have a Capri-Sun with it and we have a sale, it's pretty weird, and funny.
I think my company may have stumbled into something they could really capitalize on: Throwback food for the millennials, from my observations at least there is a market for it, maybe add a couple other things, like Spagheti-O's or something and it might draw a bit of a crowd
That's all I got for tonight, Happy Halloween everyone, don't forget the clocks are going back tonight.
