Delightful!

So president ass-clown is demanding an investigation into whether or not there was wiretapping of Trump Tower phones during the campaign, and what involvement the Obama administration had in it. It also appears that congress agrees with this need.

Now before you go off condemning this as a stupid waste of time consider this: The president has basically demanded a full and public review of all of the events of the election. I mean, I guess he thinks that the investigation should simply come up with the result of "Yup, Obama totally spied on you." without context and that will be that, but it won't, it can't be.

If there was/is wiretapping happening, it is almost certainly with a warrant and associated paper trail, if it didn't have a paper trail, it is going to be hard to prove anything, let alone involvement by the White House, but if there is a paper trail, that means a judge had to sign off on it, or other authority like the FBI needs to be able to show reasonable cause to use a warrantless wiretap, which I am honestly not sure can even be done, legally. What this means though is in all likelihood there is a trail of evidence leading to the appropriate authorities with the reasoning, and evidence, that justified wiretapping the Trump Tower.

And The Toddler just demanded the world be able to see it all.

At this point, assuming as I do that Barack Obama did not directly and illegally order wiretapping for the purpose of harming the election, there are no positive outcomes for the administration. Either  there was no surveillance by the DOJ, FBI, or other agencies, or there was and it was with cause, what cause? Well Russian involvement is always a good thought, but it could have been related to any one of his other numerous misdeeds from labor abuses to sex assault. Either way, we all get to find out about it at some point.
