A quick night

I'm having a hard time sleeping at a reasonable hour, and making myself come up with something to write about isn't really helping, so for the next few days until I get my shit under control I might not be doing a lot here.

One of the more demoralizing parts of working foodservice is that you get paid the same if you work hard, or if you have an easy night, yeah theoretically there are more tips if it's busy, but in practice customers are horrible and don't tip much at the best of times so that is moot. If it is really busy then perhaps you have to stay later and there is some extra pay there, but that isn't quite the same.

There isn't really a way to solve that, I have no interest in having pay tied to how many customers walk in the door, or it being commission based somehow, that way lies madness, I guess really the only thing to do is push for good wages no matter the job, pay me enough and it doesn't matter how crappy the customers are or what you want me to do, I will do it and smile.
