I don't understand the endgame here, the tax overhaul that recently passed is awful yes, it also shows a worrying lack of awareness of consequences from our upper class overlords. The system they have grown fat on is going to die and it is going to be killed by those of us who aren't getting anything from it. I mean even if violent revolution never happens, which, you know, I wouldn't put money on one way or the other even if I had any, people who aren't served by a system eventually withdraw from it and begin forming another one, and the reality of it is that without the non-rich the system doesn't survive.
How long will it be before we see a reversion to the barter system for everything from housing to food? We already see this sort of thing a good deal with the millenials, more and more people are going to pull, or fall, out of the system and their economic impact is going to be limited to their immediate circle.
How long until communities decide they no longer are served by their government and enforce their own rules and standards of behavior on each other? The right has long feared the idea of Sharia law being something that supersedes US law in the eyes of Muslims, but they are actively pushing an economic and social policy that encourages all groups to police themselves according to whatever rules their society has for survival, and not the laws and religion of the country necessarily.
Shit I dunno, I am tired and not sure if I am making any sense, I'll come back to this another time.
