A long time ago I talked about how Obamacare is going to be pretty damn hard to repeal once people get used to it, and I think that I am being proven right at the moment. If there is one issue where the GOP leadership is more out of touch with the American populace, I don't know what it is. These guys hate Obamacare, they hate it so much, but it turns out that even those who voted for The Toddler mostly want to keep it, but that hasn't stopped the House from pushing a completely incompetent healthcare bill that the Senate will probably have to vote on in a week or two.
First, can I just say to all the Trump voters out there who are scared about losing their healthcare? Boo-fucking-hoo. He never hid what he thought of the program, he told you straight up hundreds of times he was going to repeal it, you fucking cheered, you thought that was the greatest thing in the world, but now, now I see every day on the TV news and in articles interviews with rural red state voters who are scared they are going to die from conditions that won't be covered anymore. My view is that if that happens at least the loss of Obamacare will do some good in the world. These people are too stupid to live.
Fucking rural America, I got some shit a while back for complaining about the residents of those particular areas of the country, something about the left being out of touch with what they want or some shit. But they voted for a man who literally promised to eliminate a program that, again, literally, keeps them alive. They voted overwhelmingly for him. These ignorant hicks thought that voting for a guy who would keep out the brown people and take away their healthcare was a better idea than voting for a woman. And yeah, Clinton was a little bit out of touch, but The Toddler lived in a fucking tower in New York with his name on it, you don't get to make that argument here, she at least had a platform that acknowledged poor people exist and maybe deserve to live in more comfort than they do currently, you pieces of shit decided that you wanted somebody who blatantly embodies the stereotype of corrupt oligarch rather than a woman who actually comes from a conservative background and rose to prominence in Arkansas.
There's no excuse and I hope you all die of, I don't know, measles, I am not even joking, you disgust me.
Anyway, the new health care bill is moving through committees and it is increasingly clear that many Senate Republicans are not thrilled about it, not necessarily because it guts the ACA, but because it doesn't gut it enough in many cases, others are aware of the monumental stupidity involved in attempting to destroy an "entitlement" program that millions depend on in this manner and are thinking about midterms already, when they will have the choice between saying "I protected your healthcare" or "I voted for you to die of preventable illnesses".
Anyway, this bill even getting to the point of a vote is going to be a problem for the GOP, I expect them to do whatever they can to kill it before it comes to that, though I do not know what that might be.
