The enemy of my enemy is also my enemy

In the coming months we are going to be seeing change, the FBI has been hinting that there is actual hard evidence of the Trump team colluding with Russian interests during the election, and if that is true then I don't see the administration surviving.
We are also facing a vote on the Obamacare killing bill tomorrow, which I do not expect to pass.
We have seen House and Senate Republicans come out and speak against the administration, and even George W Bush has made statements lately.

This is excellent news if, like me, you want The Toddler to be removed from office and die in prison, however I want to suggest to you that you should not be feeling the spirit of togetherness with the Republicans who vote against the bill, or support investigations into the administration. And especially you should not start liking W.

For the most part these are all the same oligarchs, assholes, and fools who brought us to this point, and the fact that they are realizing the man they backed is a fuckhead is not something to admire, the rest of us figured it out on day one. But it gets worse, many Republicans who are voting against the Trumpcare bill are doing so not because it hurts people by making them lose coverage or pay higher rates, no they are voting for it because it doesn't hurt enough people. They are unhappy with the version that blatantly supports the rich, not because it does that, but because it doesn't do that enough.
Basically the current bill isn't evil enough for them

Ponder that for a bit, let it sink in. There is only common cause to make right how, for this specific bill, after that they will return to actively attempting to make life worse for all of us, in fact they are doing so right now by working against the bill.

Let's talk about the "Respectable" GOP figures who are starting to make noises like they give a shit what The Toddler is doing to the Republic. John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and those like them, plus just lately George W Bush. These are smart politicians, the events of last year, and in Bush's case, 2000-2008, aside. They have access to intelligence sources and people are willing to leak info to them, that they are breaking ranks is not a sign of fortitude from them, except possibly Graham, who has basically always hated The Toddler with a passion, but rather it is a sign that they are trying to distance themselves from the administration, none of them have a serious shot at the presidency, but all command respect and their endorsements, official or otherwise, mean something. In future elections, W can point to a candidate and say "vote for him" and while the candidate himself may not have ever said anything against The Toddler because he wants to court his voters, those who call themselves moderates can recall that W was against him in some ways, and then feel comfortable with voting for him.

It's manipulation and setting up to play the long game, I think there are a fair number of establishment Republicans who have already written off this administration in their heads, they will do just enough to keep their names in the public awareness but they are going to distance themselves from the White House until the current scandal blows over, if it does at all, if it doesn't, they will make the appropriate noises and be well positioned to be influential in the midterms, if it does blow over, then the administration still has to work with their power bloc anyway, so they lose very little.

There are no consciences at work here is what I am saying, there is only a coalition of those who are plotting for the future and those who think the present isn't horrible enough. Don't trust them, use them just as they are trying to use us.
