Was intending to write about the militia that took over the building out in Burns, but I sat down to write and my body said to me that today is a good day for trying to get my sleep cycle in order so I am just gonna tell you about my day instead.
Snowpocalypse 2016 came upon us rather unexpectedly this morning, bringing joy to the people and closures of business and public buildings, including most schools tomorrow.
I had to work, getting there wasn't much of a problem save for having to wait a half an hour in the snow for the bus to show up, despite the Transit Tracker saying it would be any minute now for like half that time, on the way back we had freezing rain cover everything with a nice even layer of ice, making travel extremely hazardous, my bus let me off over on Powell, so I had a not inconsequential trek to get home, and my bike to wrangle, I soon discovered that I was actually in less danger of slipping if I rode, as my weight on the tires helped break through the ice crust on the ground, though it was still pretty hair raising.
It was a Winterhawks game at work today, lots of no shows and stand closures due to the snow, but even more attendees decided to stay home too, I was let out an hour early after pretty much standing around doing nothing for my shift.
A good day all in all.
Going to bed now, here's hoping the weather sticks around, it isn't supposed to, but I can always get lucky.
