LOUD NOISES

Work was obnoxious today, Nitro Circus was in town, it's basically an extreme sports thingy, vehicles, bikes, something called a "Nitro Slingshot", probably better than even odds that Truckasaurus was there, I dunno.

The marketing talked up their "Three ring circus" style of stuff, which I guess means they had hoops of fire and so on, perhaps there was some guy with a whip and a chair trying to tame an unruly vehicle, I can only hope, but from what I have managed to see, "circus" to these guys means some idiot in a top hat (the most obnoxious of headgear options) shouting about America and extreme things at the top of his lungs for two and a half hours with the volume turned all the way up on his mic and the house speakers.

I am not being hyperbolic when I say nonstop either, I mean it quite literally, he only shut up during intermission and even then had a few things to say, again, mostly involving 'Murrica.

Personally, I get stressed out with crowds and loud noises, which might lead you to believe I am in the wrong business, you wouldn't be wrong, but having a counter between me and the crowds helps a lot, and the noise is usually not quite so oppressive.

I can honestly say it was one of the most grating, unpleasant experiences I've had there, and the work itself wasn't even bad! I hope the actual event was fun for the crowd, because man it sounded like an awful time from where I sat(stood, I am not allowed to sit).

Looking forward to the relative peacefulness of the Blazers tomorrow.
